About Me

David - Pinewood Cottage: Still learning and trying to grow cuttings of the ancient crepe myrtle from the historic property across the street. I am trying to build gardens that will be worthy of the B and B that Pinewood Cottage will become when I retire. I have a few more years to go.

Gardening Zones

We are in gardening zone 7b, we have mild wet winters - rare freezing temps below 20 degrees. The summers are hot and dry, and highest temps are right at 100 at the worst.

Meet Mr. Darcy

In March 2020 we welcomed home the newest member of our family our third standard poodle Mr. Darcy. A solid chocolate brown, high energy puppy, he has really energized our quiet house.
